Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2022 Cruise Deals

Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2022 Cruise Deals

Looking for great cruise deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday? You’re in luck. It’s the biggest shopping period of the year and cruise lines are in on the action, helping you to score some nice offers.

Black Friday

There’s little doubt that 2022 should offer up some of the most intriguing cruise deals ever seen. Cruise lines have made a solid comeback, but they are not quite back to where they were before the pause.

Meanwhile, they are about to start in on their first full-fledge “wave season” (a busy time for booking cruises) since the pandemic. Last year’s season was interrupted by a new wave of illness. In addition, protocols for cruising have returned to what they were before meaning that anyone can sail on the vast majority of cruises without testing or vaccination.

In other words, it looks to be the first time in years that the cruise lines have the wind at their back as they look to bookings for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

One Note About Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deals

Before we dive into this year’s deals, there is one thing to know. In our opinion, the Black Friday cruise deals can be hit or miss. Some cruise lines pull out all the stops and offer incredible deals that go above and beyond. Others offer little discounts or sales that are similar to what’s regularly offered.

You won’t go wrong by booking one of the deals, but at the same time, don’t expect these to be once-in-a-lifetime offers. If now is not the best time for you to book, you can usually expect similar offers down the road.

Below, we’ve rounded up all the deals we could find for the major cruise lines. As more sales roll-out, we will continue to update this page, so check back often.

Norwegian Cruise Lines (Updated 2022 Offer)

Each year we think Norwegian offers one of the top Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals we’ve found. This year looks to be no different. In fact, the cruise line has dubbed the offer its “Greatest Deal Ever.”

First, the offer includes a second guest for free on cruises — which are currently available all the way out to 2025.

In addition, the cruise line is offering up its “Free at Sea” offer with six freebies available for any cabin level (typically guests in lower-tier cabins like interior rooms only get 1-2 of the freebies to choose from). With this sale, you can have all of the following:

  1. Free Airfare for Second Guest
  2. Free Unlimited Open Bar
  3. Free Specialty Dining
  4. Free Shore Excursion Credit
  5. Free Wi-Fi
  6. Free 3rd and 4th Guests

Now for the fine print. First, for the free second passenger, cruises must be more than three nights. It’s also labeled as a free second guest, but the cruise line says the pricing is actually 50% off for two booked guests (which works to the same price). As well, you will be responsible for gratuities on things like the drink package and specialty dining.

On that drink package you’ll still have to pay gratuity of 20% on the original value of the drink package, which comes out to $21.80 per person, per day (that’s still all-you-can-drink for about $20 per person each day). You’ll also have to pay 20% gratuity on the dining package.

As well, things like Wi-Fi are not unlimited (instead, it’s a number of minutes based on the length of cruise), and the shore excursion offer is limited to a $50 credit per excursion for the first guest.

Carnival Cruise Lines

Note: Carnival has yet to announce a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal for 2022. Instead, we’ve presented last year’s offer to give you an idea of what to expect.

It’s not clear if the current Carnival “Unwrap Fun” sale is its official Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal or not. The deal runs through November 28th, leaving the possibility it is the Black Friday sale and there will be a different Cyber Monday offer.

For now, the Unwrap Fun offer includes all the following:

  • Up to 40% off cruises
  • $50 reduced deposits per person
  • Free room location upgrades
  • Price price protection

Note: There is also a “Great Rates” sale that is similar, but doesn’t offer the reduced deposits.

There are a few things to note. First, $50 per-person deposits are available on most cruises, but not sailings for Europe or Alaska and not on sailings aboard Mardi Gras, Vista, Horizon, Panorama, or Celebration. For those trips, the deposit is $149 or $199 per person.

As well, the room location upgrade is for cabins in the same category, not an upgrade in cabin type (e.g. oceanview to balcony).

Royal Caribbean

Note: Royal Caribbean has yet to announce a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal for 2022. Instead, we’ve presented last year’s offer to give you an idea of what to expect.

Heading into the holiday, Royal Caribbean is offering a Thanksgiving Sale

The sale offers up to $550 off the price of a cruise, as well as 30% off of all guests

With that deal, you can find some pretty cheap fares. For instance, the absolute lowest fare we found was for a quick two-night cruise from Miami to CocoCay for just $99 per person (before taxes/fees). There is also a December trip for six nights from Miami aboard Jewel of the Seas for just $198.

One other thing to keep in mind is that with Royal Caribbean’s “Cruise With Confidence” offer, you can cancel any cruise booked before December 17, 2021 up to 48 before sailing, through April 30, 2022.

Note: We are also seeing large discounts for onboard and CocoCay items for those that have already booked their cruise. For instance, admission to the Coco Beach Club went from $179 to $99. Admission to Thrill Waterpark went from $98 to $54. Internet packages went from $18 to $11 per day.

MSC Cruises (Updated 2022 Offer)

MSC Cruises signage

MSC may not be as well-known as some of it’s larger rivals, but it is a growing presence in North America. And for good reason. The cruise line offers some amazingly priced cruises, even without deals.

This year’s Black Friday Sale, however, offers even more to like. It provides up to 40% off of cruises, free drinks, free wi-fi, and up to $200 in onboard credit.

According to the terms and conditions, the deal offers MSC’s mid-tier Easy Plus drink package, which is ideal for most passengers. As well, the wi-fi is unlimited, with up to two devices.

As for the onboard credit, cruises of 2-4 nights receive $25 ($50 for suites/Yacht Club), trips of 5-9 nights get $50 ($100 for suites/Yacht Club), and cruises of 10+ nights gets $100 ($200 for suites/Yacht Club).

Princess Cruises (Updated 2022 Offer)

Princess announced what it calls “Black Friday Sale” for cruises, with the sale running November 22-30. Here the cruise line is offering up 60 sailings starting at under $60 per person, per day. That’s in addition to what it says are hundreds more under $100 per day. These trips includes departures to Alaska, Caribbean, Europe, and more.

In addition, the cruise line is offering deposits of only $1 for cruises sailing more than 90 days after November 30, 2022.

So if you’re wanting to book and not shell out a lot of money just yet, this may be your deal.

Celebrity Cruises (Updated 2022 Offer)

This year Celebrity is offering what it calls its “biggest Black Friday sale.”

First, the cruise line is offering up to 75% off the second guest cruise fare. In addition, the deal offers up to $800 per stateroom in general savings. And then, there is up to $800 in onboard credit per stateroom.

Now one thing to keep in mind is that Celebrity says the $800 figures for savings and credit are based on quadruple occupancy in the cabin. It’s unlikely that many people will book a room with four occupants.

As for the stateroom credit, the amount is $50 per person for cruises of 3-5 nights, $100 per person for trips of 6-9 nights, and $200 per person on cruises of 10 nights or more.

Seabourn (Updated 2022 Offer)

Luxury cruise ban Seabourn offers what it dubs its “Black Friday Sail.” This offer is extremely simple. The cruise line is offering up 15% savings on its cruises through the summer of 2024. That’s an offer that the cruise line says saves an average of $3,000 per suites.

Seabourn’s offer runs through December 5.

Holland America (Updated 2022 Offer)

Starting on November 17 and running through November 30, Holland America’s “Black Friday Offer” is highly attractive for those who don’t like being nickeled and dimed on their cruise.

First, those booking this deal can receive up to 40% off of cruise fares. But in addition, you can book and receive prepaid gratuities included.

As well, this offer is combinable with Holland America’s “Have it All” offer — which includes shore excursions, beverage package, specialty dining, and wi-fi. So you can book and have just about every extra expense already taken care of before you get on the ship.

Virgin Voyages

Note: Virgin Voyages has yet to announce a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal for 2022. Instead, we’ve presented last year’s offer to give you an idea of what to expect.

Virgin Voyages is the new kid on the block when it comes to cruise lines, but they have a good offer during the sale season. While they don’t call it a Black Friday offer, the current sale (dubbed “Fall into Sun-Soaked Days”) runs through November 29 — lining up perfectly with the days after Thanksgiving.

In this case, if you book a cruise from December 2021 through March 2022, then you’ll get 20% off the trip’s fare. In addition, if you opt for a $300 pre-paid bar tab, then Virgin will put another $100 on top of it — giving you plenty to enjoy during your cruise.

If you’ve been wanting to try the new cruise line, this may be your chance.
